A simple product shoot can get a lot more involved than you think, especially with soft handbags and purses. Why lighting matters in handbag photography
is because lighting and camera angles are not automatic from one handbag to the next, it has to be adjusted to fit the texture and materials of the individual piece.
I try not to leave myself too much post photography retouching.

If you have the choice, shoot exteriors facing dusk light. After the sun has set you can still get some light on the house from
the remaining light. If the setting sun is behind the house it will be much darker at dusk and will require more added lighting. If this is the case
then you can shoot it just before sunrise. I know from experience you don’t always have the time to shoot at the perfect time of day
but you can take advantage of what the conditions are.

Some photo restorations can be a challenge because you have to interpret what is in the missing damaged areas.

The 2012 St.Patrick’s Day Parade crowds were massive on Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach. It took me 25 minutes to get off the highway ramp and find a parking space but the aggravation was worth it.
I counted at least 3 bagpipe bands, one coming all the way from New Zealand ! A great time had by all on a beautiful Saturday.

I did a recent all day product shoot of Hairmax products and used tree bark and branches on a lucite background with an amber gel lighting from beneath.

I tried out this new Epson fine art matte paper ( Epson Hot Press Bright) and was very impressed by the saturation, brightness and contrast. I’d rather not print on anything else. Everything looks better, photo restorations, reproductions of paintings and portraits.

BRRH had the largest contingent of walkers from BRRH, over 600 people walking the 3 miles along Flagler Dr. in West Palm Beach. While photographing the event I was thrilled to see the series of photos I had done for the hospital displayed so prominently. The photo display was 7′ X 40′ wrapping around the whole back of the tent. The marketing people did a great job of putting them together and having them printed so well. As far as corporate events go, this was a great one !
